Testimonies from BA Members who have used Dr Wilson

From: norenbergs@comcast.net

Hello everyone at Blessed Arrows! I am so delayed in writing this,
but better late than never sometimes, right? ;-)

On October 13, Jerry had his reversal with Dr. Wilson. Chalk up one more
on the "Highest of recommendations" list. He is such a godly man and we
definitely knew that God's hand was on us and this whole situation. We both felt
a peace about everything from the minute we confirmed the appointment with him.
I believe the devil must know that, though, because our well-traveled
children, who usually are great on the road, were absolutely awful on the entire
drive there. We weren't very great about that ourselves until we both had an
"Ah ha!" moment about it all. We talked to the kids about it, too and the trip
home was at least a *little* better (but not a whole lot, so I know we were
being tested, tried, you name it).

The kids and I stayed only long enough to talk with Dr. Wilson (I did,
not them lol) and then he had prayer with our family before everything started.
I did take the kids back to the hotel and we did a little bit of school work.
The kids and I stopped and prayed many times throughout the day, even while
we were driving. We went to Walmart for a break in action :-D and some lunch
and the day actually went really well. Jerry was in surgery for 6.5 hrs. I am
so proud of him, because he had to be awake the entire time. He has a long
history of passing out when he experiences physical trauma and he fights it hard.
He passed out during and after the vasectomy itself. Often, he gets sick
afterwards. He was really concerned about this, because 1) he didn't
want to not be able to complete the surgery due to passing out and 2) he didn't
want to be violently ill afterwards either. So we'd asked about having some
kind of sleepy meds, so he wouldn't have to even be aware of anything. Well,
it turns out that Dr. Wilson usually *does* give "sleepy meds" (as the other
couples who've gone to him probably know), but he didn't feel comfortable or
safe giving them to Jerry *because* of the passing out problem. He said he
wouldn't be able to know easily if he was just sleeping or was passed out.
Ack! So my baby had to be completely awake and we prayed hard about that.
He only passed out once at the beginning during local anesthetic and that was it.
He and Dr. Wilson talked about anything and everything except what was actually
being done ;-) and it did keep his mind occupied.

He recovered very quickly and had very little pain or swelling.
Another concern Dr. Wilson had had was infection, since J is allergic to
anything in the penicillin and erythromycin families (this leaves very few
antibiotic options for him). We ended up doing a couple of natural anti-pathogenic
things we've been doing for other things and they worked great! His incisions even
healed very rapidly. (For anyone interested, we use Oil of Oregano and
Colloidal Silver for anything infections, sicknesses, etc and they both knock
things out very quickly). He also took certain amounts of various vitamins and
supplements that are known to aid the body in recovering and healing, along with
his regular ones.

This is the first full cycle that a baby is possible, so we are just
going to wait and see what happens :-). Hopefully, a baby is what happens, but
if not, we are both trusting God's timing, even though for me especially, it's
a daily step I have to take. I know if I am not pregnant next month, I will
probably feel disappointed, so I am praying for God's grace every day with my
emotions.

Congratulations to all of you expecting new babies! This is so
exciting! I hope we can add an announcement sometime soon!

One last note - is there going to possibly be a testimonial page for
Dr. Wilson like there are for others? If so, we don't mind in the least having
ours there.

Have a blessed day, everyone!

Dr. Wilson first contacted Blessed Arrows while Terry and I were the current vasectomy reversal  family being funded. Dr.Wilson offered to perform the reversal at such a discounted rate that we began to consider using him rather than the doctor we had originally planned on using. After several phone conversations with Dr. Wilson, research about Dr. Wilson's experience, and much prayer we chose Dr. Wilson to perform thr procedure on Terry.

Dr. Wilson performed the reversal surgery for Terry on Sept. 15, 2005 . The surgery was an awesome experience, especially because we had an opportunity to fellowship with Dr. Wilson and to see his heart and to witness what a wonderful man of God he is. Terry and I both left the procedure considering Dr.Wilson our friend for eternity. Before the procedure even began Dr. Wilson asked if we could start off in prayer, during the procedure Dr. Wilson gave God the glory for every stitch that went well, he even sang beautiful songs of praise to God during the procedure.

Terry’s healing from the procedure was great, and he experienced less pain than he originally had with the vasectomy. Dr. Wilson also took time out to call us and to check on Terry and his healing process on several occasions. The fact that he called a couple times truly makes him stand out above most other doctor’s. We know that he is not only dedicated to his profession, but to each of his patients personally as well.

Following the post operative instructions, we had to abstain from sexual activity for 2 weeks, but began trying to conceive immediately beginning Oct. 1, 2005 . To much to our surprise we became pregnant immediately during the first month (October 2005) following the reversal.

Dr. Wilson has been such a blessing to our lives and to the Blessed Arrows ministry. We would recommend Dr. Wilson to anyone considering a vasectomy reversal. God has truly chosen, called, and annointed Dr. Wilson's hands to perform successful reversals that will bring glory to God.

The hardest part about our whole experience was choosing a Doctor. We talked to many of the Dr's offices through BA, and also others local to us (near Seattle). Dr. Wilson was the only one that we actually got to speak with directly of the ones that we called. This really made us feel at ease.
We prayed so much on the situation and who to choose, and what was the right thing to do. Finally we went with our instinct and decided to choose Dr. Wilson because it was as if God was telling us this was the plan we were to follow. When we checked airfares they seemed really reasonable and Dr. Wilson's costs were perfect for our budget.
We scheduled the surgery for Robert and made all our reservations. We were to leave to Oklahoma from Seattle on November 17th, with the surgery being the morning of the 18th. I am the worrier and I was worried about leaving my children for three nights, concerned about the surgery and my husband recovery, even worried about driving around Oklahoma, would I get lost?
When we arrived in Oklahoma it was late at night and we had no problems following Dr. Wilson's instructions to get to Muskogee. The hotels and eating places are all right off the main rd. On Friday morning we felt the jitters the most until we met Dr. Wilson and it seemed that all our fears just subsided. The Lord was with us and we felt his presence.
Dr. Wilson sat and talked with us for a little while and we prayed together. My husband went in and the surgery started. Dr. Wilson said that it would be fine if I came in and out of the surgery room as I felt comfortable. I read a book for a little while, then went in and spent some time talking to my husband and Dr. Wilson. There was classical music playing and Dr. Wilson carried on nice conversation throughout. This really helped my husband feel confident and comfortable.
Robert didn't take any relaxation medicine. And said the hardest part of the surgery was laying still and he got uncomfortable. But as far as the surgery went, he was very comfortable. Dr. Wilson only had Robert's surgery that day and he took his time which also made us feel good about things. The surgery took six hours from the time we got there, until we left. Robert was light headed after the surgery and sat for a few minutes. We thought this was mainly because he hadn't eaten all day.
I did leave the office and I went to get Robert's antibiotic prescription filled. I quickly discovered that I could navigate fairly successfully around Muskogee, and the people there are so friendly that I knew if I had a problem someone would point me in the right direction.
Dr. Wilson said that he would call on Saturday and see if we needed him to come and take the drains out for Robert. He even offered to come to our hotel to do this. Wow! Robert ate right after the surgery then slept for several hours. He was sore, but just taking Advil really helped. On Saturday morning we decided to go to the mall. We rented a wheelchair at the mall. We did a little shopping, ate lunch, and even went to a movie. Robert was feeling very good and the wheelchair helped a great deal. He could walk fine, it was just a staggering "I just got off the horse" kind of walk and he was feeling awkward more than in pain. :)
We went back to the hotel and it was time for Robert to take the drains out (24 hours later), he took them out on his own, but did follow up on the phone with Dr. Wilson. Robert had minimal drainage and swelling. It was really all amazing to me, not only Robert's strength, but Dr. Wilson's compassion.
Robert was still feeling awkward walking with the stagger on Sunday so we asked when we got to the airport if they could get him a wheelchair. I pushed him in between flights and to and from the check points etc. This really helped a great deal as Robert was able to relax and take it easy despite the entire day of travel.
Now it is two and a half weeks later and Robert has made a full recovery. He went back to work on the Monday after the surgery and although he does heavy construction, he made sure not to do any heavy lifting etc.
The only regret that we have is the amount that I worried about things! Dr. Wilson was so wonderful its even hard to put into words how we felt and still feel about him. (It's that passionate!)  It was a relief to have this procedure done and we feel daily pure moments of happiness because my husband feels whole and complete again. We highly recommend Dr.Wilson and we would be more than happy to talk to anyone considering him for their surgery. Feel free to email us.

With Blessings,

A great big thank you to all you BA'ers who helped make our reversal journey a success thus far.  It has been quite a journey and we've seen God's hand all the way through the process.

My experience with Dr. Wilson was excellent.  He was great at answering my questions over the phone before my trip.
Karen was unable to go with me so I had quite a journey to get there including a five hour drive to Indianapolis where I flew out and three flights later landed in Tulsa where I rented a car and drove to Muskogee.  The hotel was near the office.  When I arrived Dr. Wilson ask who was going to drive me back to the hotel.  He felt I would be unable to drive and he was right.  He followed me to the hotel and let me drop off my car and gave me ride back to the office.

Next, he gave me something to help sedate me a little.  We filled out the paperwork and prayed while we waited for that to take affect.   He then took me back and let me prepare for the surgery.  He came back started to work and other than a little stick and him telling me the first side was done and I needed to stand up and move around a little before he started the other side.  I think he said the first side took about 2 hours.  The second side took about three hours, but I really don't remember any of it.  The next thing I remember was getting dressed and he took me back to my hotel.  I called my wife and a friend, don't really remember either conversation, and said I was going to call back after a little nap.  I called my wife thought it was 7pm and it was two in the morning.  I slept a lot the next day and Saturday headed home.  I had to reverse the process of  the trip there.  I was not in much pain just very uncomfortable and little difficult to walk.  The trip went ok till I was driving home on the last leg of the trip, so I stopped and spent the night with some friends.  The next morning I walked in during our Sunday celebration and most people did not even realize that I had had surgery.  By the afternoon I was exhausted and needed rest for the next few days.   Days 6 & 7 were probably the worst.  Just a lot of swelling and soreness.  Today is much better and from here I'll have to let you know.

I would highly recommend Dr. Wilson.  Not only was he concerned about the process, but was very concerned about his, our and any future children's relationship with the Lord.

Hope I didn't rattle to much and this is helpful to some of you.

Blessings

Please remember the primary purpose this site even exists is to collect donations and FUND these reversal surgeries!!  If that offends you, then this is NOT the place for you.  Collecting donations for the surgeries is what this ministry is about. Make no mistake...IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY to get the surgeries funded
