wasn't God's will for me. Not being saved ,I didn't know any better,so I went with my mind not my heart. After a bad relationship with my kids father,we finally broke up. Then I met Jermaine, he is just the perfect husband. We got married after a couple of years of dating. When we first got saved we didn't know a lot, but we didn't give up on God. Being married to someone as sweet as him was just great. He is an Ordained Deacon, Praise & worship leader, and he works with our Radio ministry. I'm President of our church nursery (so you know I must really love kids) and I'm an Usher. We work faithfullly for the Lord. Since we've been on BA I've learned a lot from so many of you. God has done so much in our lives since weve joined BA a little over a year ago. The things we know now we didn't know back then. God has really blessed us to be obedient to His will for our lives. We've been saved for 5 yrs now loving every minute of it. Our kids are a part of YMF, Youth Fellowship Ministries, they enjoy what they do for the Lord, it keeps them busy working to build the Kingdom. I didn't tell you how we came to find BA. One day Dh told me that God showed him that I would have a baby. God had dealt with me earlier about it but, I wasn't really sure. After DH came to me I knew it was God for sure. Soon after that God began to deal with me even more. So I went to the computer trying to find a doctor. I came right to blessed arrows not knowing anything about the ministry,all I knew was that God had convicted me so bad about how I messed up, by getting my tubes tied. While on this ministry I've learned so much about God's will for childbearing. We were # 13 on the waiting list when we joined, but this lets you see how fast God works for his children. Thats why we dont mind working for him. Now that I'm being funded it really feels gooood to know that I'll be whole again. God has taught us how to give unselfishly, give and it shall be given unto you... this is the word of the Lord. I pray that this testimony will give you an idea of who we are and our purpose as Christians. Doing the will of God, Jermaine & Tonya Purvis |
