After the birth of our second child, we were told by family to stop there.  We had two children- 1 boy and 1 girl.  Family members told us how miserable we would be if we continued to have more children and of course after the birth of our second child the last thing on my wife’s mind was more kids.  Therefore we went ahead and got the vasectomy done.  A couple years later my wife and I had the urge to have more children.  This urge grew into a sincere desire.  We also read in the Scriptures where the command to mankind is to “be fruitful and multiply” (Gen. 9:1; 35:11).  Logically any form of birth control would be direct defiance against this command.  We also read in the Bible where it states: “Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward” (Ps. 127:3-5).  This statement contradicts how we used to feel, that children can be burdensome.  We were younger and foolish and made a mistake that could affect the rest of our lives.  Genesis 38:8-10 speaks of Onan and his sin in spilling his seed on the ground thereby refusing offspring to his brother’s wife.  As a result for this action (commonly referred to as the withdraw method by today’s terms) God slew Onan.  There are many Scriptures, which show that God detests birth control.  This revelation only added to our desire to have children.  We currently have been trying to save money for a reversal and have found a doctor, which comes highly recommended and is very inexpensive.  The doctor is a Christian man and makes vasectomy reversals his personal ministry.  We are hoping to both find support with blessed arrows and to provide support to others who are in similar situation.
