The Huckstead Family Testimony
Seth and I were married eight years
ago; we were eighteen and already had a one year old together at the time.
Within the first 6 years of our marriage, we had 3 more boys (a total of 4 boys)
and I was feeling very worn out. We always saw our children as blessings, even
in the midst of our sin with our first. We were believing the lies that Satan
was throwing our way that we could decide on the number of children we had and
when we had them. We have known a couple of families who have trusted God with
their family size. It has been amazing to witness God's work in their lives.
About a year ago I was asking one friend about this and she let me borrow "A Mom
Just Like You"; this book wet my appetite for more. I then read "A Full Quiver"
and "Be Fruitful and Multiply". Most of all Seth and I have run to God and His
Word for his view on children; we especially love Psalm 127, Psalm 128, Matt.
19:14. There are many others also. Looking at God's Word free from the worlds
influences makes the whole council of God come to life with God's picture and
plan for children. Seth and I have taken more seriously our call to train our
children unto the Lord and God is doing great things in our lives. My boys are
all praying for more sisters and brothers to love on, but we also see that even
after the surgery God may not give us more and I am praying to rest in Him and
His will for our life. We are SOOO excited to be a part of Blessed Arrows. |
