2/3/04
Let me start off by saying that I have been
saved for 26 of my 36 years. Regrettably, of
that 26 years, I have only been a Christian
sporadically. I lived my life on my own terms
and suffered the consequences along the way.
Each time I strayed too far, God was always
there to correct me and bring me back into the
fold. It has taken me many years and hard
learned lessons to fully put my trust in the
Lord. It was that lack of trust that led me to
have a vasectomy in the first place. As had been
the case too often, I felt that I had to
intervene to control my destiny. After much
study and prayer, I feel that I am able to fully
trust in God and leave my future in His hands.
Looking back, it seems odd that I wasn't able to
trust the only One who has never let me down.
Now, I look forward to each day and the
fulfillment of His promises.
He led me to begin a daily Bible study from the
work of Dr. Charles Stanley. (If you haven't
already read it, I highly recommend "On Holy
Ground"). It seems that each day's reading was
exactly what I needed to learn on that
particular day.
Thank you for allowing me to share my
testimony.

We are thrilled and look forward to the day
when we can have the reversal and, if God
wills it, have children.
We have
been married for almost 3 years and
currently have three children between us: a
17 year old son and two daughters, 7 and
12. I had my vasectomy about 6 years ago
during a period when I felt that I was in
control of my destiny and that it was the
right thing to do. However, God had a
different plan for me and wasted no time
showing me that I had a lot to learn when it
came to Him and what He had in store for my
life. Through a series of trials and
blessings, He led to where I am today and
has given me a renewed determination to
follow His will and give Him complete
control over my life.
